Winning Strategies: Effective and Efficient Decision Making
Session Date: November 20, 2025
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (Eastern)
Session Description:
This presentation focuses on the critical importance of implementing a program for
efficient and effective decision making within projects. Attendees will come away
with a better understanding of why organizations are struggling with decisionmaking processes and an action plan to immediately support improved decisionmaking on their projects. We’ll demonstrate the importance of effective decisionmaking by highlighting the substantial costs associated with indecisiveness,
including wasted time, resources, and lost opportunities. Then, we’ll explore the
benefits of robust decision making including how it promotes innovation, increases
employee motivation, and fosters teamwork. Supported by examples from ongoing
projects, attendees will be equipped with a framework for improving decisionmaking processes within their own projects through key actions, such as
establishing clear lines of authority, identifying and working with different decisionmaking styles, and mitigating resistance to change, supported by lessons learned.
The session will equip project teams with the tools and strategies necessary to
make informed, timely, and impactful decisions that contribute to project success.
